قصر البارون – علامة مميزة في حي مصر الجديدة
Baron Palace, the most prominent and oldest historical place in Heliopolis, is now open for visitors after renovation. An iconic landmark that dates back to more than 100 years and in the heart of one of the busiest districts of Cairo. You don’t want to miss visiting this beautiful and captivating masterpiece that steals your sight every time you pass by.
The palace’s name refers back to the owner. The Belgian millionaire, Édouard Empain, who was awarded the title “Baron” by the Belgian king at that time, the palace is named after him “Baron Empain Palace.” Few months after the Suez Canal’s opening, Baron Empain decided to hit the road from India to Egypt.
The decorative molds embellishing the façades were initially inspired by Hindu and Buddhist legends and imported to complement the design. The palace’s interior design follows the European artistic styles, whereas all rooms and halls of the palace are sun-exposed from all directions.
The palace consists of three floors, topped with a roof, and encircled by a large garden. The ground floor includes a reception, a dining room, and a billiard room for fun times. The first-floor houses four rooms, each with a separate balcony and bathroom. Finally, the palace’s roof comes as an open space on one of the towers’ sides, where the baron held his lavish parties and all three floors interconnect with a spiral stair.
The building’s original color and shine followed a complete restoration project and was accomplished during 2020. Baron Palace embraces a diversified collection of documentaries, photographs, plans, and maps of the structure and information panels telling the history of Heliopolis and narrating the story behind the district development across the ages.

عاد قصر البارون، والذي يعد من أهم وأقدم المزارات التاريخية في منطقة مصر الجديدة، ليفتح أبوابه استقبالا للزوار بعد أعمال التجديدات. يعود تاريخ هذا الصرح المعماري الذي يعد علامة مميزة لأكثر من مائة عام ويقع في قلب أكثر مناطق القاهرة ازدحامًا. من المؤكد أنك لن تضيع الفرصة لزيارة هذه التحفة الفنية الفريدة من نوعها التي تخطف الأبصار في كل مرة تمر بجانبها.
يعود اسم القصر إلى مالكه الأصلي، المليونير البلجيكي إدوارد إمبان الذي مُنح لقب”بارون” من ملك بليجيكا وقتها، لذا فإن اسم القصر هو “قصر البارون إمبان” وعقب افتتاح قناة السويس بشهور قليلة قرر البارون إمبان أن يشق طريق رحلته من الهند ليستقر في مصر.
تزين الأشكال الزخرفية الوجهات المستوحاة من الأساطير الهندية والبوذية حيث تم استيرادها لاستكمال التصميم. أما التصميم الداخلي للقصر فيأتي على طراز الفن الأوروبي بينما تم تصميم الغرف والقاعات هندسيا لتدخلها أشعة الشمس من كل الاتجاهات.
يتكون القصر من ثلاث طوابق وسطح ويحيط به حديقة كبيرة من كل الجوانب. يتكون الطابق الأرضي من قاعة استقبال وغرفة طعام وغرفة بلياردو للتسلية والترفيه. أما الطابق الأول فيضم أربعة غرف لكل منها شرفة مستقلة وحمام. وأخيرًا سطح القصر الذي يمثل مساحة مفتوحة على أحد جوانب الأبراج حيث كان يقيم البارون حفلاته الفاخرة كما يربط سلم حلزوني بين الطوابق الثلاث للقصر.
تم ترميم القصر بالكامل ليستعيد لونه الأصلي وبريقه وانتهت أعمال الترميم عام 2020. يضم قصر البارون مجموعة متنوعة من الوثائق والصور الفوتوغرافية والخطط وخرائط التصميم وألواح تشمل معلومات تحكي تاريخ حي مصر الجديدة والقصة التي تكمن خلفه عبر العصور.
قصر البارون إمبان من المناطق الجميلة التي تستحق الزيارة في قلب حي مصر الجديدة. يفتح القصر أبوابه للزوار يوميًا من الساعة التاسعة صباحًا وحتى الرابعة عصرًا.
