Cairo might seem like a noisy and crowded urban city. Aquarium Garden
The Aquarium Garden, also called El Gabalaya Garden after the name of the street where it is located, was built in 1867 by Khedive Ismail, the ruler of Egypt and the Sudan. Unique for its architectural beauty, the Garden has many underground grottoes that used to host various unique types of fish from the Nile and other places. Although the number of fish has decreased and some of the grottoes lie empty, the garden still hosts some rare fish that are worth watching. Besides the fish, a wide collection of various types of trees and flowers. The garden has been featured in several movies as a romantic spot since 1950.
Japanese Garden
The Japanese Garden, located in Helwan, was built in 1917 by the Egyptian architect Zulfaqar Basha to represent cultures of the East. Full of fish ponds, hills, canals, and diverse trees, the garden is most famous for its unique statues. For example, more than 30 Buddha statues—including the famous seated Buddha statue over a Lotus flower—and three statues of elephants adorn the garden. A lake there contains a statue of the three wise monkeys and their proverbial principle: “See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil”.
Family Park
Family Park is one of Cairo’s prominent parks. Located on the Suez Road in New Cairo, the park offers many ways to enjoy the beauty of nature as well as amuse children. Activities inside the park can be categorized into two groups: educational and entertaining. An educational center has buildings that look like Bibliotheca Alexandria, the Giza Zoo, and the Martial Museum; all to give knowledge to children. There are also several theaters where kids can perform to the park’s visitors. On the entertainment side, the park has its own mini zoo and safari plaza where kids can see ostriches, ducks, deer, and other animals as well as explore different types of plants.
Al-Azhar Park
Al-Azhar Park is one of Cairo’s largest parks. The space, originally a garbage dump, took seven years to be transformed to one of the most beautiful parks in Cairo. It is located in the heart of historical Cairo, where the Citadel and Al Sultan Hassan Mosque surround it. Its position over a hill gives its visitors a magnificent view of Cairo. The green park has several restaurants where visitors can enjoy the natural beauty and the breathtaking views of Cairo.

حديقة أسماك الزينة (جنينة الأسماك)
تسمى حديقة الأسماك أيضاً بإسم الجبلاية تيمناً بالشارع الموجودة فيه، حيث أنشأها الخديو إسماعيل حاكم مصر والسودان عام 1867. فالحديقة مشهورة بطرازها المعماري الجميل وتضم مجموعة كبيرة من الكهوف وأحواض السمك التي كانت تجلب من نهر النيل والأماكن الأخرى، وبالرغم من تناقص عدد الأسماك حتى أن بعض الأحواض والكهوف أضحت فارغة، فما تزال الحديقة تحوي بعض الأسماك النادرة والتي تستحق المشاهدة. إلى جانب الأسماك، توجد مجموعة كبيرة من مختلف أنواع الأشجار والزهور. ظهرت حديقة الأسماك في العديد من الأفلام كملتقى رومانسي منذ عام 1950
الحديقة اليابانية
تم بناء الحديقة اليابانية والواقعة في حلوان، في عام 1917 من قبل المهندس المعماري المصري ذو الفقار باشا لتمثل وتحاكي ثقافات الشرق. تمتلئ الحديقة ببحيرات الأسماك والتلال والقنوات والأشجار المتنوعة، كما تشتهر بتماثيلها الفريدة. على سبيل المثال ، هناك أكثر من 30 تمثالًا لبوذا – بما في ذلك تمثال بوذا الشهير الجالس فوق زهرة اللوتس – وثلاثة تماثيل للأفيال تزين الحديقة. تحتوي أيضاً إحدى البحيرات هناك على تمثال للقرود الثلاثة الحكيمة ومبدأهم الذي يضرب به المثل: “لا تروا شرًا ، لا تسمعوا شرًا ، لا تتكلموا شرا”.
حديقة الأسرة
حديقة الأسرة هي واحدة من أبرز الحدائق في القاهرة. تقع الحديقة على طريق السويس في القاهرة الجديدة، وتوفر العديد من الوسائل للإستمتاع بجمال الطبيعة وكذلك لتسلية الأطفال. يمكن تصنيف الأنشطة داخل الحديقة إلى مجموعتين: تعليمية وترفيهية. فهناك مركز تعليمي به مباني تشبه مكتبة الإسكندرية وحديقة حيوان الجيزة ومتحف القتال؛ كل ذلك لتزويد الأطفال بالمعرفة. هناك أيضًا العديد من المسارح حيث يمكن للأطفال أداء عروضهم لزوار الحديقة. على الجانب الترفيهي ، تحتوي الحديقة على حديقة حيوانات صغيرة وساحة سفاري حيث يمكن للأطفال رؤية النعام والبط والغزلان والحيوانات الأخرى بالإضافة إلى استكشاف أنواع مختلفة من النباتات.
حديقة الأزهر
تعد حديقة الأزهر من أكبر حدائق القاهرة. استغرقت الحديقة، التي كانت في الأصل عبارة عن مكب للنفايات ، سبع سنوات حتى تتحول إلى واحدة من أجمل الحدائق في القاهرة. تقع الحديقة في قلب القاهرة التاريخية، حيث تحيط بها القلعة ومسجد السلطان حسن.يمنح موقعها الواقع فوق تل زوارها إطلالة رائعة على القاهرة.كما تحتوي الحديقة الخضراء على العديد من المطاعم حيث يمكن للزوار الاستمتاع بالجمال الطبيعي والمناظر الخلابة للقاهرة.
